We require our caterers to use local, seasonal produce in their catering, reducing food miles and supporting local farmers. We are also committed to reducing waste, with a strong emphasis on recycling working in partnership with CSH.
The grounds at Houchins are a key part of its sustainable ethos and the natural beauty of the surroundings adds to the overall experience of hosting a wedding in harmony with nature. Whether you choose an outdoor ceremony or an indoor celebration with sweeping views of the grounds, you’ll be surrounded by the calming effect of nature. Over the last two years we have planted over 5,500 hedge plants and in Autumn 2025 we will plant 9.5 acres of new woodland.
