WEDDING VENUE PRICING

Pricing for Houchins is made up of two elements – the barn/venue hire and accommodation hire.

Our 2025 venue hire charge varies from just £2,500 to £7,350 depending on the day of the week and time of the year. Accommodation for up to 16 people in 2025 is £1,450 per night. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Please see below for details.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Houchins is for a maximum of 16 people. The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 guests in four bedroom suites and two further bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The Honeymoon Lodge, adjacent to the house is included in the accommodation pricing and offers couples a luxurious sanctuary in which to celebrate their wedding night. Hiring of the house is optional except for summer season Saturdays.

The payment process of four equal instalments is designed to ease your cash flow leading up to the wedding day
An initial booking fee of 25% of your agreed contract hire price inc VAT confirms your chosen date at Houchins
Two further interim payments of 25% are due at equal intervals leading up to your wedding day
The outstanding final balance of 25% is due 4 weeks before the event (after the Final Planning meeting)

Houchins is located in Essex, just 1 mile east of Coggeshall, with direct access from the A120. It is approximately 15 minutes from Colchester and Braintree.
